Rehearsal dinner

What are you doing for you rehearsal diinner? We are in the process of trying to decide what we are going to do. I think that I want something relaxed and laid back. I am not sure yet.

I'm glad you started this thread..I was thinking of starting it. Anyway, for our RD FH's cousin has offered us her huge back yard..we are having a real down south soul food cookout-get together..there will card games(Spades!), dominoe table, music, pool, video games for the kids and none other than that down south, good ole country food! We are renting the tables and chairs, his cousin has offered to do all the decorating. I can't wait for this. Its the North meets the South. My family is from down south, his family is from up North! lol

Allow me to introduce myself. I am the Queen of LAID BACK & RELAXED. Believe DAT!

We had our RD at a place called Jillians. We rented a room that had an audio system and dance floor....and we had buffet style. Then we gave everybody the option to play games and bowl. It was really cool because after dinner, we invited all of the out of towners to join us. Jillians is similar to Dave & Bustas. (don't know if you have one in your town)

We have a Jillians in Tacoma, it's a pool/gaming/pub type of place. I wonder if they're a chain or if we are just a copycat out here?

I like your idea, too. I never thought about something like that. I know everyone must have enjoyed it. We have Jillian's here, too. (I am in NJ. It is in PA.) I didnt know that they rent out rooms.

BrownSuga, I was really going for the laid back feel. I just didn't want something all formal and stuff. I want everyone to be comfortable and just enjoying the events taking place and the events to come.(wedding) so we'll see how it turned out.

Oh, we had ours in the church all purpose room. It worked out pretty well but I'm all for bbqs and the like! Spades, who said spades, that's my game!!!

I originally wanted Jillians (we have one also) but I think we are just gonna have it our reception place...Richard (FH) mentioned just like a decorating party to get ready for the big day!!
