My FH and I are thinking of moving away after our wedding. He's a little reluctant, but I know I can't stay here with my mother and his mother both as needy as they are. I need to leave and establish my own household.
Is anyone else relocating? What are your reasons?

Hi Regina, not sure if we've met. I'm the journal slacker. No for real, I'm Trina. Hubby and I were married back in April. We have been talking about moving away for quite some time now. We want to save money before we start over though. Neither one of us is from Texas. He is from Michigan and I from Louisiana. The Texas heat is no longer a favorite of either one of ours. We will be missing the not so cold winters though. Anyway, we have been exploring options...Maryland, Washington, Florida Georgia and Virginia. We have it on our list to visit each one to make some sort of decision. It will be hard for me...I am very close to my mom and I feel in my heart as though I will miss her sooooooo Much sometimes I cry about it but I know I have my own life now and I know my mom and brother will be fine I just really don't know how life is going to be without them "down the street"
I starting to ramble so I won't bore you any longer.
night night
Trina

My husband & I have moved around quite a bit over the past couple of years. It's because of the line of work that I'm in. Please feel free to ask me anything about the following cities:
Raleigh, NC (where we'll retire and grow old together)
Pittsburgh, PA (Too many wild animals. I was terrified. I had wild turkeys and deer walking around in my backyard. Beautiful city...I personally found it very racist)
New York City **HOME** (NY is what it is. There's no place like home)
Los Angeles (Absolutely beautiful. LOVED IT!)
Chicago (Two Words....ELROY SMITH. :( )
DISCLAIMER:

I'm a expert. Ask me anything!
We just moved back to New York and we've been back for about 2 months.

I feel you on the Pittsburgh statement. Two years there was enough for me.
