HOW IT HAPPENED:
:love: After work, I met him at the place where we first met, Albella's Restaurant. I didn’t really expect anything. I was just enjoying a night of karaoke with him and our friends. All of a sudden, one of the managers puts a chair in the middle of the floor, and Lloyd asks me to come sit down in the chair. He began to serenade me with a song called "Give Me Forever (I Do)" by James Ingram & John Tesh. (I wasn't completely shocked about being serenaded because he had sung this song to me many times before this night.)
The 2nd Verse [of the song] is the key verse. "With this ring, I'm bound..." As he sang these lyrics, he took a small red box in the shape of a rose out of his pants pocket. The women in the restaurant who witnessed what happened started screaming (at this point I STILL didn't get the "memo"). Then I finally looked down at what he had in his hand... and covered my face with my hands! After the song ended, he got down on one knee and looked into my eyes. At this point, tears are streaming down my face. Then he says, "I love you, Zimbabwe. Will you marry me?" I looked down at the ring and then back at him and said, "YES!!" :love:
