So, I figured that I would get this wedding day story written before I got called out *giggle*

I hope that you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed living it.

Friday Morning,

So, after going to bed at about three in the morning - from doing our bouquets - my bridesmaid Nailah, MOH Lyra and I all went to bed.

http://www.nakaiphotography.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/sn-nakaiphotographycom-026.JPG

Lyra had a six in the morning hair appointment, and got up at five thirty in the morning. I got up at about seven thirty because Nailah came and told me that I got a phone call from my Gia Bia! So, we get up, I take a bath - yep I just sat in the tub and relaxed for about forty five minutes while it sunk in that today was the day that I was getting married. I did all of the necessary "hair removal" things and then proceeded to prepare myself for the rest of the day. I picked a scent that was probably just as "normal" as could be....Bath and Body Works Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin lotion and spray, and it smelled GOOD.

We then went to answer the door because my MOH came back from her hair appointment looking CAYUTE! She made me eat (fruit and bagels) and we proceeded to finish up the days tasks. I got my Mrs. Nicholes jacket and put it on, and went to work on the little things. My make up artist came and I had to stall her for a while so that Kenny (the BESTEST photographer in the Chicagoland area) could make his way to the house. I busied myself around the house, while people made me promise not to start new projects the day of the wedding :harumph: (roshini and lyra and LOLITA) Well that wasn't the case, cuz the cake topper had to get made. SO THERE!

Well, Kenny arrived, and picture taking ensued! It was wondeful. I just smiled all day long. ALL DAY LONG. People called, people came in and out of the house, TaShena came and picked up the stuff for the reception hall and went and did her THANG!

Shomari came home - and the antics began. A white comforter was held up so that he couldn't see me or the dress that was hanging up, and he went to take care of Nathaniel and make sure that he was dresed properly. Then Shomari left and everyone began to get dressed. The flowergirls were up and they were a handful. They got dressed and one of them got cream cheese on their dress. :whatever: I cleaned it, fussed and then made them sit down. Yep, mean auntie Tasha.....that's me. But they didn't get dirtier.

After the makeup artist finished with my makeup, and Kenny and the videographers were done with the guys....they came back to the house to capture the moments of me getting ready....I thought that I would be okay, but I was wrong..

As SOON as the dress was zipped up, I started crying. Like a little girl. :rofl2:

My MOH started laughing at me, and then the fun and games began again. The shoes went on last, and I ust couldn't believe that I WAS GETTING READY TO GET MARRIED.

More photos were taken and then I sat down while Kenny got more shots that he wanted.

Then 4:45 came around and the TROLLEY came.....we proceeded out of my house and got on the trolley and went around to the church, where we arrived at 5:00 pm.....

Only to come to the church and realize that the sound system wasn't working right.

Go figure. THE ENTIRE bridal party was there ON TIME and the CHURCH made us late! :rofl2:

Shomari kept sending his nephew to ask ME why we weren't starting....I sent the nephew back asking the same thing. It didn't matter, cuz I got to see people as they were entering the church.

Kesha, Tam, and a couple of other people who just made me smile even more.

My dad was sitting on the trolley with me, and we were sitting and talking for a while, him asking me if I was okay, and me asking him the same thing, go figure. I finally saw Nathaniel walk into the church and realized that my time was almost here. I walked to the front, and got off of the trolley and waited outside until I saw the ushers pull the aisle runner (upsidedown albeit :rofl2: ) outside.

The doors closed and we came in from outside. Deep breath......

I stand with my dad and we listen in silence as Trish is singing my song "Love is You." I motion to Reecy that I am ready for the doors to open, and they do, and I am suddenly overwhelmed with the amount of faces attached to bodies that stand up to greet me. :D

I wait for a while, and try to take everything in. I notice that my aisle runner is upside down and I start giggling. My dad asks me what was wrong, and I say, ABSOULUTELY NOTHING....everything is PERFECT! I notice that I can't see Shomari and REFUSE to start walking until I can see him. As if he heard my thoughts, he moved over and I began walking. We made it about halfway down and I almost started crying....I had my day stop, so I could recoup, and then we finished walking down the aisle. We got to the front of the aisle and Shomari looked at me and winked (swoon) and all was right in the world. I didn't hear Trish (sorry lady) and I definitely didn't notice anything else going on around me. All I know is that I was getting married to my love and that was all that I needed.

The ceremony began and the pastor asked that everyone be seated (BTW he was the pianist for Trish's solo - I love my pastor!) and began with the ceremony. Things were going okay, I thought until he stated....do you Shomari D. Nicholes take Natasha.....- while I was still on my dad's arm.

Well me being Natasha immediately stopped him by waving my bouquet and said that I was still on my dad's arm. He answered back by saying Well, FIRST I have to make sure that he wants to TAKE you as his wife, THEN your dad can give you away!" :rofl2: Laughter ensued and we were on our way.

We had a reading and a scripture, and then on to our vows! After that we had a very interesting Tasting of the Elements, and the hottest hot sauce in the history of mankind was sipped on.

Boy, if I can handle that, then being with Shomari during heated times should be cake. Heh, heh. We finished that, and then we went on to finish out the ceremony. The pastor pronounce us man and wife, and then smiled at us.

He then asked us, if we were waiting for something, and Shomari very adamantly said...YES, and he then stated, you may kiss your bride, and you will never have to ask permission to kiss her again. :okaaay:

We were announced, and then we JUMPED OUR BEAUTIFUL MOE BROOM!

http://www.nakaiphotography.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/sn-nakaiphotographycom-012.JPG

Husband and wife....wow! And we recessed to, Will Smiths ( :rofl2: ) Just the Two of Us.....befitting only for ME. LMAO!

We had our receiving line and I have never hugged and kissed and smiled so much in my life. I was looking fly, my husband was looking MAJORLY fly and we were feeling good. And we get ready for pictures.....

Kenny is awesome and professional as we fly through pictures, and I whisper to my dad that we are going to need the trolley for a little bit longer....he says okay, and goes to pay. I love my poppy!

We take more photos, we get ready to go, and I sneak outside to visit some of my CB's - Kesha, Monica and Aisha are sitting outside and proceed to treat me like a celebrity. I love it, we laugh and I ask them if they want to ride on the trolley. CB's on the trolley = mad laughs, and we do have them.

We get on the trolley, make it to the reception hall and I immediately tell my bridal party that I have to go to the bathroom where I find out that Aunt Flo is in town ( :whatever: ) I'm cool and that's all that counts. My cousin (BNic) goes and tells our other cousin (ltburns) the situation and Trice goes FLYING outside to make sure that I am okay for the rest of the evening. We get set, and I go upstairs so that we can get our party on.

Kesha and Hayden get our names for the annoucments for the bridal party and we hear "Let's Get it Started" by the Black Eyed Peas and my hips get to shakin', Regina and CC encouraged me (yep y'all did) and I got to grooving right there outside the doors. After we were announced, we went up to the front for our first dance and I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! Nothing like dancing to your favorite song, with your favorite man. Just pure sexiness.

And the antics begin.
