MY STORY

My last day at work was Wednesday,I did not do jack all day....humpf I got an upcoming wedding day ....Thursday we went to pick up my Godmother from Atlanta airport. I was so happy to see her, she is from Long Island, NY.

After we got her home and settled we did did some last minute errands.
Two of my sisters (bridesmaids) came in later that night. They were supposed to be here by 1ish to get their final dress fitting, they did not get here until late Thursday. In the back of my mind I was beginning to worry because there were four wedding going on that day and they only had one seamtress which was the owner.

We got up and went to Sams early Friday to get last bit of items which was the salad and rolls for rehearsal dinner and reception. We then head over to the shop for a final try on....and like I told you before I have some big girls. Thoese dresses looked impossible. I did not see how in the world she was was going to make those dresses work for my girls. The owner started pulling out bras, for one of them the bar worked just fine, but for baby girl it looked impossible, then she pulled out a really nice long line bra, still not looking good, at least we were able to zip the dress up, but it was looking a hot mess on her. So she decided the bar and with a bit of let out on each side everything would be fine. So we get to the counter to checkout why did she say that bra was 79.00, we all said in unison "oh no". I guess she though about all the money we had spent in her shop and she cut the price in half. Mind you I still had one more to have her final try on.

So we leave there to get a manicure and pedicure, we were the only one in the shop, so why did it take us two hours for the three of us. This was my first time getting a pedicure and it was wonddddderrrrrful.....my sister paid
for mine. This threw us really behind as Kim had a hair appointment at 2:00. So we had to cancel that that because they was supposed to be back at the shop at four, in the mean time my fourth bridesmaid came in from Atlanta and went straight to the shop. At this point all seemed well...the hour for rehearsal was fast aproaching (6:00). Timothy went to greet his family from Ohio. Timothy and I had some more errands to run. In the mist of all of this we got a call from the lady who we rented the candleabras from and she said she could not deliver until she had all of her money. So we had to make a detour from our errands to meet her. We decided on a location and she said that she was in the area, so we waited and waited for aprox 30 minutes, so we left and went to the bank, she in the meantime calls and tells us she was now waiting on us. So be it you had us waiting. Timothy and my girls we a bit pissed by now. So we finished doing most of the errands Timothy and I split he went to get his family to direct them to the rehearsal dinner and I headed for the church.

Now we are at the rehearsal ...whur the heck is everyone, Timothy and his family were not there . The dinner was already cooked and waiting on us...Dammit it is 6:30 or so....I know I told everyone 6:00....so finally Timothy and his family arrive....my sister had started putting up decorations, which I wished she would have waited. So we start the run of the rehrearsal...my sister insured me they knew what to do (the directoress that I wanted had death in her family and could not do it). Thank God my caterer is a wedding director also. She we ran throught rehearsal, it seemed everyone was giving directions, nothing seemed to be flowing right, I begain to get frustrated and I guess it showed on my face because everyone was asking me what was wrong and to calm down everything would be ok. So we run through it a third time by this time my caterer/director was upstairs and it went smooth.

So we go down stairs to eat and give our gifts. The kids were so excited about getting their gifts and they were so happy with what they got.

Lemme back up a bit the 12th was my brother's anniversary...I was still pissed at his wife for something she did last weekend....how about that heifer did not even come in to speak to anyone and then she told someone that she did not know she was the head hostess...a lie..cuz I sent a letter and I called asking her to be my head hostess. So my oldest sister said hell to da naw..she went out and got her. Prior to my sister going out to get her she sent a message to my brother to come out becasue she has somethings to do. Betta be glad all of this was told to me afterwards...come to find out she wanted to go out and eat, so why could't they eat with us....

Well the reheasal is over....Timothy and I said our goodbyes....he went to the hotel I stayed at the house...I had to finish my prgrams which I did around 2...I was wide awake....but at some point I fell asleep

OUR WEDDING DAY

I got up at 7:15 for my hair appointment, I think going to bed a two had it's toll on me...I ended up calling my hairdresser to let her know I would be 30 minutes late. So I finally arrived...she hooked my hair up..I was out of there in about 1.5 hours or so...then I went by the Chirstian Book Store to get my prelude music and a card for my soon to be HUSBAND. In the mean time my sisters had to go back to try on the dresses one more time. I went to my 11:00 make up appointment....the young man that did my make up was awsome...his makeup was flawless. I had a hard time with him putting the eyeliner on, he told me to try it and I knew that I could not do it, he tried again, I started blinking like crazy...you should see how I put my contacts in(LOL) Well I finished that and headed home, the girls were still with the seamtress no need to be alarmed, they seem to be doing fine. My son made the cd in order of the ceremony that we needed. Time seem to be flying by....I quietly thank God for blessing me such a beautiful day...2:00 rolled around the girls were with the seamstress and I was getting a bit worried plus I did not have my shoes yet as one of them was bringing them home for me. So I called to find out what was going on, they said she was still working on Cherly's dress but they would be on time...so I thought to save some time I would get dressed at home. My neice and God mother was like why are you getting dressed at home, why don't you wait til you get to the church...I was't feeling that at all, then my niece said it was her understanding I was supposed ot get dressed at the church to ensure that the dress does not touch the count or something. Finally I said ok...I already had on my under garments and stockings..so about 2:45 we head over to the chuch and there was only about eight cars there. I was beginning to worry that everyone had gotten about my wedding day and no one would show up :ashamed: . My neice goes in to make sure non of the guys were around and I ran into the office. By this time it was about 3:15 no bridesmaids, not a one So my niece called over to the shop and she said they were still working on Cherly's dress...panick began to set in and I am like they have been over there since about 11 that morning what is going on  ...so I start calling every 10 minutes or so...in the meantime the photographer was trying to take picture of my God mother helping me with my veil...I was livid by this time  . Everyone was trying to calm me down...all I coudl think about was my wedding was not starting on time and I was adamant that it would. Finally I got a call that they were finished but did not know how to get to the church from the shop, so my caterer talked them to the chuch, rushed them in so we could start the ceremony....it was 4:00 then.

FINALLY the ceremony started...they came down stairs to get me...and when I looked in the church I got really nervous, all three sections of the church was practically full..my son escorted me down and as I looked down at my husband he looked so dayum good and sexy :1luvu: . It seems cameras were everywhere. All of my madness had long gone by then, nothing else mattered I was marrying my sweetie...

So we got to the alter and the pastor started prayer, then he processed right into the ceremony, I was like what is he doing, that is not correct, he has not even asked who is giving me away...I was still standing there with my bother and my son and he asked Timothy to stand next to my brother....my
brother in laws said my face was like WTF.... so finally he asked who gives me away ...my brother and son said we do, then the girls chimed in
we do, the chuch rolled. They also rolled when Timothy and I said our
vows cuz gurls I put strong ephasis on each word I said.

My bother in law got nervous when it was time to sing...I think he song one verse of the Lords prayer...and the song Forever I Do, the cd would not play so he had to sing that acapello...but it was all good....I was supposed to give those tea bouquets to the moms during the ceremony...I don't know what happened there....just that it never happened and it was a good thing... Then my pastor pronounced us man and wife Mr and Mrs. Timothy W. Wright... so many of my frieNDS showed up...it was so wonderful to see them even one from my high school day....I was as happy as I could be.

So we started taking pictures and it seemed everyone else wanted to take pictures to. How about one of my church members was trying to tell
the photograhpher how to set up the bridal party...he was so cool...she said I think it would be better if da da da....he calmly said...you know I think I like it better like this...then he gave her a cute smile...the church was so quite...
all she could do was sit down.

So we proceeded over to the reception, the announcer was ready but none of Timothy's family was anywhere :tantrum: , so I said process and introduce the one that were there. We did our first dance as soon as they annouced us, then sat down to eat, about 45 minutes later Timothy's family came in, and by that time all the seats that I had reserved for them were gone and plus my sister did not follow my directions and set up five vs the six tables I knew I would need. So they had to pull another table out for them. I really felt bad because it did not have a table cover of anything on it. Then we got ready to do my toast and I looked at the cake top it was one of the tea bouquets that I was supposed to give to the moms during the ceremony...I was like what happened to my cake top..needless to say I did not see my cake top until the following day. Oh well...then we presented Timothy's mother and my best freind with a birthday cake and my brother and sister in law with a anniversary cake.

We got ready to do the garter toss girls my baby pulled a trick out of his bag he started doing a dance, I was like woa...then he pulled my garter off with his teeth....I was in third heaven by that time....prior to that we did the bouquet toss and my hair stylist caught...

I did not get a chance to use the masterpice dinnerwear, my head table was supposed to be served on that...I have no clue as to what happened...so I still have 40 of those plates I need to get rid off :harumph: .

Finally we did the toast, it was so nice and emotional...I was so anxious to be alone with my husband after all it had been 5 months and two weeks.

So we zoomed by the house I packed an overnight bag and off to the hotel we went. We had a keg at the reception so his brother took it to the hotel and they were out in the parking lot having a good ole time...all I wanted to do was get my groove on with my new husband, but he wanted to go and hang out with his family for a bit...I was not to thrilled about it, as I felt they would understand.. So we hung out there for about 30-45 minutes.
And when we did make it to out hotel room for the night it was on :hump: :hump: :hump:

We did not plan a honeymoon because my DH had to be back in England the following Saturday. So Sunday we went to church, Timothy's pastor brought the message. After service we bid his family fairwell, and we went back to the hotel for more :hump: :hump:

We were going to check out that evening but decided to stay another night. We went to a very nice Mexican resturant for dinner that evening and back to our room for more :hump: :hump:

And this is my story :luvstruck :luvstruck
